With a sprinkler on your garden for hours and hours without a bill for water usage Fuck the English.

I genuinely did not believe it when my old Scottish supervisor told me your water is free.

Are all southerners on meters or something? Still on old fashioned rates up here, and no jocks nearby, win/win, apart from the prescriptions

No meters here either. Leave the tap on all day if you want and won't cost any more.

In Ireland you DON'T pay for water... it is free. Also no council tax when I lvied there either (although payroll taxes were higher)

Surely something would have to give. Can scotland afford its own NHS with free prescriptions when they are getting no £ from us?

Bank of Scotland too, Halifax was a solid English bank till they merged with that shower.

Still cracks me up that they print their own banknotes, almost as bad as the Welsh changing every road sign and marking but keeping the English spelling because virtually nobody speaks Welsh. Time to cut them adrift IMO.
