Buy it from the DVLA and you'll have no more fees to pay and a year to assign it to your car.

I'm certain you can order without a V5, they send you the paperwork then you send off the certificate you've 'bought' and your V5. Just so you can speed the process up

Ye you dont need the V5. Buy the reg and they will send you the form out usually within a week. Then as soon as your V5 comes you can go to the dvla office and swap the reg over there and then.

Ordered the reg so just waiting for the paperwork.

As soon as that and my V5 turn up, straight to the DVLA office, they swap it and do they give me the plates there too?

How has that seller got 1700 plates advertised without owning any of them...surely he must literally go through the DVLA website for each plate every day to make sure they've not sold?
