Nothing wrong with the RS Turbo, the spec of the car is way better than the R5.
For a start its got LSD and fuel injection. Leave it standard and they are pretty hard to break. Unlike the R5 which will break if you look at it wrong.

Both arent that unreliable IF looked after. How many ned's have got hold of these cars and ragged them silly with greasy haired 14 yr old bints hanging out the sunroofs. They are Turbos and getting on a bit these things need servicing. Running silly boost with no internal engine mods will kill any turbo car not just rst and r5's

I Own a Series 1 Turbo and i hate Fords im Vaux Daft but ive not driven a Car which has turned as many heads as My S1 so it gets my Vote!!

Yeah only one black S1 was made for Princess Diana, think it sold a few years ago for 30k but not sure? Prob a few fake black ones running about now
I'd take the escort as it can run bigger power more reliably than the little garlic motor

She was the daddy. And to any who resprays a mint series 1 RST is a fool. Should be left as they were from the factory. Apart from the slightly flimzy gearbox.

yes, it is jeff windsor who owns the black rst that diana owned, we bought our s1 off him. The black one has been valued at £250000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you lot are on about which is the shittest motor, erst or a r5, hope you don't mean the s1!!!! We've had both cars, and i absoluteley hated the r5, it was like a sowing machine inside!!!The S1 is on a totally different level, yes, it is old, but ours is like brand new, and it's faultless. We love it, but it's up for sale because we can't enjoy it due to the weather!

Nah r5's are kewl have driven a spot on 200 bhp one and it was cool, then again standard for standard spose i'd choose the erst but modded defo the 5 turb

there's some pics, but it does it no justice.
It's an unbelievable car.
Jeff wasen't the actual owner of the car, he bought it and never registered it, so it's us and the original owner on the logbook. The guy who owned it originally was a bank manager in his 50's, so it was used as a w.end car.
