Yeah, by the sounds of it you'll have to play about slightly no matter what goes in. But I think the 1.8 might be slightly cheaper than the 1.6, possibly newer, and a few extra bhp for what it's worth. More interesting too imo, seeing as you can already but a Corsa with the 1.6 so the 1.8 makes it a bit more of a special conversion

if i was you id get looking for a clean low mileage sport.
personally id do a conversion but thats because i can do the work myself easily, if you dont really know what youre doing it will end up costing more and more as you go along
