If you're just graduating and still young (same position as me) then I would travel up to a certain amount before considering to move out and rent somewhere. Especially graduate jobs that are only a 1-3 years long.

If I was married or had kids it'd be different though, I don't see why you can't move while you're young with no commitments though.

My depot is 35 miles away, but then I drive to any tube station in London or Essex so it varies. I think the commute depends on the job tbh

Job 1 - About 2 mile all round there and back.
Job 2 - About the same possibly a touch more.

My 1st job was practically at the end of my road lol.
Never worked far from home and wouldnt like to.

Depends on the jobs as said. I'd happily commute 50 miles + a day, if it was decent money. No point commuting all that way and spending 50%+ of your wage on fuel.

Used to be 4.4 miles, 15 minutes.

Would do more if the money was worth it but I'd need to think long about doing it otherwise. No point spending extra income on fuel because you're still not being compensated for the time you spend in a car.

2.5 miles round trip. About a 10 minute cycle each way in Central London. I know loads of people who commute into London and they find it ok.

I used to do 70miles round trip, mainly motorway and it was fucking wank.

After a long day in work had a good hours drive home

Now its 5miles round trip
