Think if I was spending more than about a grand I'd probably go and see them first, the listings are not at all detailed and the pictures don't tell you everything.

Was bidding on a golf gt tdi this morning in whitburn good example to the thread.
Was winning the proxy at 2050, bidding ended at 2650. Then you have 165 final fee plus bidding on the net etc.
I might have gone higher if it was closer but woulda cost 200 in diesel to get from here.
Was a shame though as had very good spec which is rare.

It's not cheap now , it was about 3 years back now everyone is on it. Plus Poland are buying literally everything . Best salvage auctions are ones that's live bidding not online .
