A remap once you get bored of the power makes it feel like a new car.

remap is a good option just watch 2nd gear on these cars
they are known to fail

also keep an eye on the dashpod failures - easy seen by the fuel gauge not starting to read correctly - think Audi still cover this

Check roof rails also as they are prone to flaking paint due to original paint process - used to be classed as trim thus 3 year warranty but then audi honoured there 12 year anti corrosion warranty

won't be doing anything to it for a good while, bar a good was and polish.Whole reason of 'downgrading' from the Disco was to save some money not spend more. Although the V6 valance might get done pretty sharpish

collecting at 1030; had its MoT this morning, failed on a CV boot. Quite happy, they're supplying it with 12 month MoT, 12 month warranty and 12 month tax and also, the garage they've used for the MoT and work is her cousin's, so we know its not being bodged.

What is a reasonable brake upgrade for these, loved the car, good handling, reasonable feedback and acceleration but not a fan of the brakes. There's plenty of pad and disk left so not overly worn but they feel too progressive and not sharp enough to scrub off speed quickly. Definitely the first thing I want to change.
Any opinions?

They've got 312mm brakes on them haven't they?! I had TT ones on my Ibiza, stopped on a 5 pence piece and they were just Halfords disks and pads! Might need the fluid, pads and disks doing.

Any idea what is on there now? It could be cheapo pads that's causing it. I had green stuff in my S3 when I bought it and they were pretty poor, got standard Mintex on now which are fine for everyday driving.

DS2500's on standard disks are a popular performance upgrade.

They're not bad brakes, but I'd rather they be a lot sharper than the progressive feel they have now.

Braided hoses, decent pads and a fluid change maybe?

That said I've never really seen why Z4's or TT's are seen as gay cars anyway!

Great colour combo on the TT
