Lap times are different, GPS based which is fairly accurate, enough for the times they require over that length of track which is usually only nearest second or tenth of, you'd never see it in something like f1 or wrc or wtcc, acceleration uses accelerometers and/or feeds into the ecu neither of which are massively accurate and get less accurate the higher the speed you time.

steve - be quiet.
My VBOX lap times agree with official lap timing transponders to hundreths of a second.
This is a GPS based lap timer/data logger. It is VERY accurate.

oh, to answer Qs...
the rear diff is worn now but I'm not runnign daft power to break things liek gearboxes and diffs. Clutch is good for 700bhp or so.... so its hopefully man enough.
Longitudinal G on that start.... 1.1
Peak lateral G during the race 1.7, 1.3 seems a more normal peak.

Steve i think the equipment is a bit more accurate than that otherwise it wouldnt be such a good seller and you can hardly compare it to f1 and wrc tech can you and tbh i think ak would know more about the tech he uses as e actualy does alot of track days as does his wife so wheest your negitive yap ! Ak those times are damm good will have to see it at knockhill sometime in the flesh

we normally see about 1.5/1.6 on 'hot laps' ie one off hot laps like Time Attack or qualy.
