Interesting to hear that SMG is not great at lower speeds. I do most of my driving in 30-40 zones, in traffic etc so that's possibly a blow to my aspirations for the SMG box if/when I go E46 M3. The auto in my 330 is the complete opposite, awesome around town, so civilised and smooth but when driving in anger its a bit uhmm 'laggy' shall we say?

Do you miss having a clutch? Do you feel lazy driving with no clutch, do you use dsg all the time?

It's fine at lower speeds but you have to learn how to drive it. Will take you about a month to be fully acquainted.

It has different modes and on SMGII You can adjust ferocity of the change. In mine in economy I just come off the throttle slightly to change up unless I'm hoofing it when full throttle gear changes are ftmfw!!

Just remember its a manual car with an automated clutch. NOT AN AUTO with no torque converter.
So imagine driving a manual but just don't use your left leg weird at first but soon get used to it

They will have been painted because the polished ones corrode.

That's a bit steep.

Mine went up from £600 to £900 when I changed from the S3 to a less powerful Z4

Depends... if i drive my dads car (manual) then ill miss a clutch for like the first 10mins of mine then i dont miss it.

I will tend to use auto/manual very very rarely use sport just cause it redlines it in all gears.

i tend to be stuck in traffic on way home from work so really dont miss a clutch then.
