Electronic power steering usually means zero feel - very disconcerting!

Hydraulic power steering still gives you some feel with the added benefit on having some assistance and a quicker rack.

But its a totally different car now, have you been on track since??

Bearing in mind it will be fast, PAS might be better.

I've had two Corsas without power steering and genuinely prefer it that way. I've driven cars with it and it just feels too light and airy. I feel far more in control of the car without it as the response and feedback feels more raw and genuine.

Suppose it's just what you're used to but if your car weighs less than 850kg I don't think you'll have any problems without PAS.

brand new rack from ebay 12.50 bargain, gen ford too lol, decided it would look crap black so decided blue to match other compenents

rubbed down, masked off and zinc primer

smaller fiesta 1.25 non PAS belt next to original larger one

on car perfect fit

rack finished, first pic shows the correct coupling which i also needed to source to make it work, 10 er from the scrappy

this has cost me a grand total of less than 30 quid so if i dont like it and put the PAS rack back on it hasnt broken the bank
