Agreed but it's for practical reasons, I'll be moving around a lot and a backpack is the most practical.

Can you not convince them to get you a 13" laptop, 15.6 is massive to be carrying about airports.

Well it's my only computer in the office as well so I don't want it too small (although I do have a second screen when I'm at my own office).

Actually my laptop is smaller than 15.6" but I currently have a client laptop as well which is 15.6".

I've got a Latitude E4310 for work and it's both considerably smaller than a 15.6" laptop and nothing like an ipad.
