no mate, some proper vht spray off ebay, used 4 tins to do the complete engine and gearbox

its mainly satin but theres a bit at the top thats a bit dull for some reason, I didnt use primer on the gearbox so it was harder to cover, on the block I did and it covered much better

this is seriously good stuff, i did a back back for shits and giggles and it hasn't flaked off

Been looking around on google and some people on other car forums seem to use caliper paint.

Anyone else used caliper paint on engine blocks?

both get fairly hot so i would presume it would be fine

Is a primer neede before applying the paint to the block?

You'll be fine just painting it straight away without primer. Just make sure you get it all the back to the block.

i used a can of white vht as primer, its much cheaper than that stuff on that link and a bigger tin
