My mate's dad used to own a brewery, he always said loads of water to rehydrate yourself and syrup on toast to build up your sugar level.

Drinking water before you sleep definitely takes the edge off. Remembering to drink water when you are pissed is a different matter though.
I'm finding hangovers seem to be getting worse as I get older, a proper session can pretty much write off the entire day after now

I used to lay in bed all day banging on the floor for cups of tea, had one Friday but I had a can of rockstar juiced orange and mango and that cured it just fine, enough to start again Saturday night

That stuff's the total opposite for me, used to have it all the time but this one morning I thought it'd help my hangover. The result was me whiteying it back up, it tasting like acid on the way out and it making my teeth feel like the enamel had been stripped off them. Bad times, can't touch the stuff any more
The cure is 1x square sausage and tattie scone roll and 1x bacon and tattie scone roll washed down with a big ice cold bottle of stawberry volvic

Drinking a pint or two of water before sleeping is always a winner. I fill a bottle for my bedside table before going out to help the memory issues later
Laying around in bed doesn't help either, get up and wash the car or something.

Do you not drink lager?
I always drink at least 2 pints of water before bed, feel much better in the morning compared to when I've forgot

Some of my mates would say cannabis is the best hangover cure.
Personally I try to drink a pint of butter milk before drinking and bring a pint o water to bed. Fucking hate waking up during the middle of the night with a dry mouth and no pint of water beside me lol
And if you can face if an Ulster Fry in the morning is the job

I haven't had a hangover in about a year, which was the last time I had a heavy drinking session. Put myself off it for life
I used to find paracetomol good though with a pint of water.

Not so much anymore, usually have cider now or a spirit and energy drink etc

I find not sitting around feeling sorry for myself helps. Get out and do something. If I dont need to drive anywhere, a nice beer first thing when I wake up normally keeps it at bay.

I wonder why that is?
