They are cheap. Parts are cheap and plentiful.

Not because they are sporty.

Tbh I always used to get the impression it was a bit of an old boys club. Then I started browsing on a regular basis and realised its in fact a forum full of self righteous (mostly) middle aged blokes who drive MX5s at best.

they would have a great time picking our two race cars to bits they are less 'engineered' solutions (but use better fixings ) than steves efforts...

I've given up with using carbon fibre splitters.... waaaay to costly!

Impreza has been through 2 now, GTR is prob on its 4th splitter, and now needs a new rear diffuser 'thing'

If i was building Steves Puma i would only purchase the upgrades on a bank holiday weekend, as thats when homebase/B&Q have the 10-20% sale

Those eejits who spend all of winter time building a track car, only to not take it on track.

They've gone all maths about it now. I don't need maths to tell me how to deflect a bit of air around an open space under the car. I'm sure maths are all well and good if you are trying to shave tenths of seconds off lap times, but not for a 120bhp puma, I don't get all mathsy if I go fly a kite
