Probably not many people who murdered 77 people in the name of far right propaganda. I'd hazard a guess that there aren't very many rules or laws to specifically deal with people who commit such atrocities so he has to be treated within current laws the country has - I doubt he'll be out in ten years.

Youd be surprised, a large majority of the highest profile murderers/terrorists/drugs dealers end up at long lartin, its one of a few maximum security prisons in the country and they rotate prisoners around each one.

A lot of disgusting people were let out after the minimum had passed purely for space problems

Who knows im not saying he will deffo be let out in 10, but it wouldnt surprise me if it were in this country

Sane

If that's sane, as far is the law is concerned, then I'd like to know what insane is, as far is the law is concerned.

is.

Of course he was sane, he was in control of his actions. and knew exactly what he was doing, and the reason he was doing it. Just because they're not exactly normal actions, doesn't mean he was mental.

How can people say he was insane? Sure to the everyday person the crime he committed was insane, the very thought of what he did is insane, but the guy was perfectly sane. As others have said, he knew exactly what he was doing, it was all planned like fuck!

I think if declared insane he would get a cushy wee number in some secure "hospital". Better to try him as sane and throw him in the most horrible prison Norway has to offer!

He was originally declared insane.

Sounds like the Varg Vickerns case. He "wanted" to get a guilty verdict, even smiled as it was announced in court. He was sentenced to 21 years. Let out after 15. Also in Norway.

He killed a guy by stabbing 23 times then set fire to 4 historic churches. Also declared sane....
