Cannot believe people are wasting time with sensible replys. I'm not purposely trying to be defeatest but it will never happen. It will get about as far as hammeriting some bits of metal but that will be it. I'd love to be proved wrong though so c'mon nathy

Be realistic Nathy_87 you know you've had multiple ideas. Buying an old cav or something iirc and asking if you could buy it monthly.

You will get the car and take it apart think fuck it and not bother.

I would say that for the money involved, you'd be better off starting with something Japanese, turbocharged and more modern, Lexus sc300 for example.

Pops have been used in the past ad they were cheap in the 70s and 80s but there's better starting points

runs low 11s at Santa pod and all for less than 5k

It can be done on a budget, providing you have the knowledge and know the right people

The drag car idea will never happen but what about getting the car and restoring it making it road worthy? Would look nice in black with some unusual wheels on it and some clever modding. Could look very cool and be actualy something worthwhile doing.
