I managed to get a slice on my chin a few years ago that needed stiches etc - it was very tight for 6 months or so but has loosened off.
These days i forget its there so fingers crossed it heals well for you.
As previously said, raise it with the physio and see what the say

P.s.... Some people need to caaaalm down, and take more than 1 second to skim over a thread

aye, the scars ease up after a while.

Use lots of moisturiser / vaseline to keep them soft, and potentially lessen the scaring.

I had surgery on my right hand a few years back after doing some stupid stuff on a night out. Couldnt move two fingers for months but did the excersises I was told to by physio and they are nearly as they were. Still dont feel as much on that side of my hand and my little finger does have some constant pain and feels liek it'll fall out of joint at any time. gets worse in the cold.

I sliced open the palm of my hand years back... twice actually :s

First time - snapped a reflector (bike) and it sliced into my palm. Nothing damaged, but the scar isnt bad at all. Most of it is inline with one of those wrinkles/folds. I did it the second time with a CD... never learn!

Feckin scars all over

Sliced my arm open with a scraper - didnt even bleed, just opened up and clear liquid came out :S Now have a minging 2" long scar on my fore arm.

Shut my hand in a car door - right hand, first 2 fingers a bit mangled, with scars accross them

Right hand, 3" long curved scar over the nuckles, mostly result of surgery to repair hand.

Right hand - straight 2" long scar right in the middle no idea

Left hand - second knuckle - cut to the bone having a scrap back int he day

Left hand - third knuckle - no idea on that one.

Chin - split it open on a bucket

Head, front - 2" scar, split open with a hockey stick
Head, rear - fell on a stone chip

Thigh - climbed on a roof using a bust wheelbarrow with no wheel, slipped and got one of the forks stabbed into my thigh - ouch

rear of calf - wooden steak stuck in it

right knee - sliced to the bone climbing a fence - slipped and torn it

I actually have a scar on my boaby too for some reason

This is the way forward tbh. My old man nearly took his thumb off with a disc saw a couple of years back and the plastic surgeon reccomended rubbing aqueous cream into the scar one or twice a day (once the stitches were out iirc). Really helped to loosen the skin up and the scarring is far less than it could have been.

Oh and Adam, are you sure its safe racing with that track record of injuries?

I nearly lost my right hand about 8 years ago, it took a good year before I had most of the movement back into my wrist. But I didn't have any physio so it might of got better quicker with it. I'd say let it heal up, then if it's still not working, they should be able to cut and stitch it back up. See how it is after 6 weeks.

I thought you had got caught in some industrial machinery. Glad it wasn't an accident where you got trapped or mauled!

I bet a lot of people make that assumption though dont they?

I had never seen a scar like that before and was trying to work out what organs are in that area.
