Right, has anyone seen the Barclaycard offer for a free Monkey?
Well I have been a Barclaycard customer for years and really wanted a cuddly Monkey!
Sent them an email saying I had been a loyal customer for years,e arn them some good money in interest but also always pay my account on time and more than minimum payment.
Left the email with a joke, saying: I know Jimmy savile is not around anymore (thank god), but can Barclaycard fit it for me to have a cuddly monkey.
They replied saying I can have the 0% balance transfer offer which the new card offers but not the monkey.
I replied saying this is really unfair, I have had some good times with barclaycard and I am sad this relationship has to end like this, because they are giving less to the relationship than me. so I will be closing my account in the coming months and looking for a more suited partner.
Customer services rang me three times today, first two I was at work.
Third I got, he just asked why I was unhappy.
I said and he explained how its a pro mo to get new customers, I said that is fine but what about poor loyal customers.
So his solution to not giving me a cuddly monkey:
Gave me £100 in my account
