I've done a couple of 18 hour days, set off at 05:30, down to London, do maybe 5 or 6 jobs around London, then head back at about 20:00, home for 23:30.
My worst week was the week leading up to my Corsa's first show. Working 9:00-17:00 Mon-Thurs then going to the farm to work on the Corsa so the week went,
Monday 09:00 - 23:00
Tuesday 09:00 - 03:00
Wednesday 09:00 - 01:00
Thursday 09:00 - 03:00
Friday 09:00 - 22:30 ish when we eventually arrived at the hotel in Swindon
Saturday (at the show) 07:30 - 23:00 when we got back home.

Probably 12hrs when i worked in retail many years ago.
If we include Uni (students do actually have to work sometimes) then i use to do regular 24-48hr sessions getting projects in.

I've done 80-90 hour weeks. Longest continuous shift without going home was 36 hours.
Done several monster shifts broken up by a quick trip home for a shower and change of clothes before coming straight back in again.

From May to about September I average about 80 hours a week, peaking at 104.
I prefer doing those to sitting in the office 9-5.

I've opted out of that in every job I've had.
I haven't been forced to opt out, but it's usually brought up when you first join.

1.5 hour drive then a 14 hr shift then a 4 hour drive cross country, another 14 hr shift then drive about 4 hours home
Other worst one was a 14 hr shift then drive 6 hours to press a few buttons then drive home again
60 odd hours a week is about average this year but last year it was over 80 hours a week
