The 8.3L engine may be old, but it is still one of the best engines available today.

Hennessey Viper. Enough said.

The engine was not designed to be complicated though, same for the Viper, was designed as a supercar built from parts from an old truck, in a shed! That, is immense.

I love how a bunch of guys who put 80s engines in their cars are complaining that this is outdated

Like this?

Just because its an 'old' design doesn't make it a bad design.

A pair of twin cam, 4 valve heads on a v10 adds a huge amount of weight for not a lot of gain!

Have you even heard a v10 before? They sound like pavarotti taking a dump the morning after a jalfrezi.

When he wasn't even making reference to a 4 pot turbo? or did I miss that comment? or am I too stupid to follow? I dunno?

Then the debate went slightly technical ( ) and Nismo donkey punches the thread with an old classic

Nah man I'm not having a bad day or anything, I just wanted to explain my comment. Don't want people to think I'm just saying shit like that for no reason again.

The reference to four pot turbos was in reply to complaining about 50bhp/litre as if it had any difference on the final output. How was my reply a bit Scottish? There was no rudeness in my reply

I know what Craig means, the car came with a very modern engine, that produces well over 100 BHP per l. They then fit a massive engine, that has loads of torque, but pushes a lot of it's weight over the front wheels, messing up the handling. Vipers are just a willy waving barges.
