Install apptoide then install blackmarket alpha, that's about it.
I think apptoide is some sort of replacement play store, I've not used it for anything other than downloading blackmarket though. After that you just search for what you want and it downloads. It doesn't have everything but I've got most of the stuff I've been looking for.
Apptoide

Facebook - I've found the new native FB app to be bulky as hell and not much of an improvement over the old. Tested a lot of the alternatives and currently use FriendCaster.
eBay - keeps trying to go to the website within the app Shitty looking UI, the iPad eBay app is on another level. Can't say i've noticed this, although i haven't really used it a huge amount apart from checking watched items.
Chrome - Found it to be slow too. I use Dolphin at the minute which works well.
There are some decent apps for Android though - Google Ears (a better Shazam) and Google Music are currently my favs and Airdroid is pretty handy. Also if you root your device then you can happily "purchase" pro apps

Falcons great, not perfect but it's relatively new so will get better with updates, having images display inline is a big plus over the official app, along with telling you how many tweets you've got left to read and actually picking up where you left off each time you go in rather than going to newest first and having to scroll backwards.
I use the ebay app for my business so use it quite heavily, for example when replying to a message the message is just a web view of the actual site, so if you click the 'respond now' button within the view it takes you to the ebay login page within the app, you have to remember to use the reply arrow button at the bottom.
Really liking Google Music, I specifically bought TuneUp for iTunes this weekend to sort out all the meta data on my collection before uploading to Googles cloud. Now I've got access to 15,000 tracks without taking up any memory on my phone. Also, turned on Google Now for a bit along with Google Goggles but my battery's taken a massive hit and all it ever told me was how long to get home.
Been using Aptoide on Johns recommendation since I got it, mainly to try before I buy (wrong I know), but it has resulted in me purchasing Broken Sword 2, NFS Underground, Contre Jour, Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery and Falcon.
Only thing that annoys me is that game saves aren't backed up. Lost all my progress on NFS when it went in for repair and took me ages so that's money wasted because I'll never start from the beginning again . Broken Sword has integrated Dropbox for backup of game save data, hopefully others will start doing this going forward.

It's not always been the latest when I've wanted a paid app.

Same.
Also it can take a while with some of the new stuff, theres 4shared too.
Sometimes it will ask you to move from one folder to another which you can only do when rooted too.

Just installed some games using the method John said for the Nexus 7! It keeps saying "connecting to server" for GTA 3 but will keep trying.
Downloaded a Burger game and working fine! Cheers

I wish they'd release Final Fantasy 7 on the Play Store.
