What's a 37 hour week?

All our drivers work for that money an I think they cope, really don't know how though

Living wage is apparently £7.45 p/h (outside of London)

So £14400 on 37 hour week as opposed to the £11909 it actually pays, before tax... I really don't know how it's possible.
