the clips in that video that are maybe equal to the hits on mine are probably classed as fouls in rugby

90% of them are tame compared to nfl

Nope. Hardly any of those are fouls. Theres a couple of high ones and one when the man was still in air but thats it.

IMO the ones in the rugby clips are harder, especially as no padding/helmets.

Hits are about the same between them, the padding (which offers very little protection anyway) just makes players try harder, but it's the injuries that tend to be slightly different ie: cuts, ripped body parts, blood etc is relatively common with rugby.

Tbf, i wouldn't want a hit off a RU or NFL player

Comparing American football and rugby is like comparing cricket and baseball
They're completely different games

In American Footy are you alowed to tackle/hit by leading with the helmet?

Saw a few like that on the vid. Thats seems a bit mental.

Depends where you're aiming I think. Head to head is banned. They are trying to encourage players to hit lower these days.

They're not that different - both require you to tackle and run/kick 'egg-shaped' balls

Head to head is still allowed in the nfl aslong as you can prove the tackle wasn't un neccisary roughness. If that makes sence. See the patriots vs the ravens from about 2 weeks ago. Full head to head tackle that knocked someone clean out. Was still allowed
Will try and find a clip

Running backs have no protection, they're fair game
That particular example was the running backs fault IMO
Pollard is already going towards the chest and the RB lowers his head

Rule as I understand it is you can't hit head to head on a "denfenseless receiver" so they have to be able to see the hit coming

When I've heard more people talking about Beyonce's performance than I have talking about the actual game that says it all for how good a sport it is.

Of course you've heard more about Beyonce in England, a lot of people would of watched it specifically for that. Doesn't mean the match or sport is crap though. But I guess if you don't like it. It automatically means it's shit.

Never watched it so put it on for a bit last night. You can't call either sport soft, there were some 22st men in that nfl game and some pure beasts, pads or no pads thats going to hurt when it runs into you. If anything there are probably more pure athletes in NFL as there is a lot of money in it and loads of big black kids compared to rugby over hear which has only recently moved away from its middle/upper class roots!
