i understand the need for beef/lamb/whatever, but theres a way of going about it that causes the animal as little suffering as possible.

a muslim guy in work told me that halal style was the quickest way of killing an animal and also the best as it leaves no blood in the meat.

I am very glad this has been brought to some more people's attention.
I am like most people a meat eater but I fully respect the fact a animal has died for me to eat in a way that is medically proven to limit the pain and suffering. BUT halal meat is now rife in most restaurants we all love to visit and are you made aware of this? No.
I spoke to frankie and bennys and they can't guarantee it isn't halal meat. A few local restaurants near me serving halal only not giving a option. I did speak to pizza hut and they don't serve halal meat only in bradford (wonder why :lol
Even the likes of tesco dont have to tell you it's halal.
This all arises from islam taking over the world (look at the numbers growing) bring halal meat in and it gives a muslim a job.
They undercut the normal slaughterhouses so the contractors for the likes of hospitals and schools buy halal meat because they are there to maximise profits and don't care what they are eating.

watched something similar a while ago about all this kinda stuff - thought the electrocution and skinning of small animals alive for their fur was worse though...there is some brutal cnuts in this world

I didn't even bother to watch the video, the still picture and "This cow is trying to moo with it's throat slit" was enough for me.
Leaving any creature with it's throat slit, left there suffering whilst it bleeds and chokes on it's own blood is rather brutal, it just seems like an "old fashioned" way of killing animals when humans were less civilized, so I guess that says a lot.
I do find it hypercritical that people who eat meat then moan about halal, the animal still dies and it's become the norm to eat meat everyday in this country and many others.
Something crazy like 2.2 Millions chickens are eaten daily just in the Uk.
In countries where halal meat is the main source, the killing of the animal is like a social event for the boys, they get to stab an animal in it's throat and makes them a man.
Glad I live in the Uk <3

A butchers near me that has been there all my life was recently bullied out of there premesis, surprisingly it's now a halal butchers right across from the mosque.
KFC near me went to halal. Didn't last long before it changed back

Theres a video on youtube about why its important to only eat halal meat. I'm not watching it as I'm going to bed, and I'm pretty sure I won't agree with it, but some of you may be interested in it.
It does seem a terribly harsh way to end a life, but suppose its all about perspective.
I've done a slight amount of hunting and killing (no halal shit tho) and it has definitly made me appreciate meat and the animals life more.
Fucking muslims.
