I don't agree with that bit at all.

As in one of my above posts, in the year 2013 it's nothing to do with the body being mature enough.

16's fine. if theyre both around the same age no ones ever going to get in trouble. if youre a lad much older than 18/19 stop sniffing around school kids.

There's no reason it should be changed. What's the benefit?

Would just result in 13/14 year old single mothers being given a house on benefits.

Thus dragging our nation further into deficit.

The social side of it is about the only thing I agree with against it.

The whole pedo bandwagon though is a load of media led shit

That's not the point though is it? The law is there to protect young people.

I do think there's a lot of fake outrage, which gets more profound at the borderlines but all you're doing if you lower it is to exclude young people in a frankly vulnerable position from legal protection.

At least this way round the older people get to make a decision how to behave and if they know the law and do it anyway, I've limited sympathy for them.

Interestingly in todays sun there is a story about an actor on Eastenders, the headline being "Child Sex Perv on Eastenders" then other sub headings calling him a "paedophile" etc. This is front page news btw.

His age is 39, she was 16. I think its disgusting the press can write such sensationalist headlines about people that arent even truthful by definition of a paedophile!

OMG a male being sexually attracted to a fully matured female that happens to be 16!

The only reason people get so worked up by these stories is because everyone loves a good witch-hunt. People pretend to get angry by stories in the paper like this, then a week or so later completley dont give a shit.

It is pretty sick though. If you're 39 and sniffing around a 16 year old, then theres something wrong.

Not a paedophile, just a dirty middle aged man.

I dont think there is anything wrong at all. Its natural to be attracted to developed girls whatever age they are.

The majority of people are strong enough to ignore the thoughts, however most people will still think them. Clearly this guy couldnt, call it desperation if you will but you cannot stop natural chemical reactions going off in your brain.

Theres a moral question regards his position, but its not sick, its only sick because the media tell you it is. 100 years ago this would have been acceptable.

It's weird. Although not paedophilia, it's definitely dirtyoldmanilia. The dirty old man should know better, the 16 year old doesn't hence the reason it shouldn't happen.
