And as said powdercoating tends to be more durable to stone chips and Heat affection! My old cesaros were proffesionally done by diamondstyling in kent iirc and after 2 years they started to fade inside and edges from break heat :/ I never waxed them tbh which didnt help!

£130 sounds about right for shot blasting and coating wheels with no tyres on them to me :S

At least 50 quid a wheel everywhere round here. Must be the south east tax.

Had my wheels painted, looked crap after a few months, got them stripped and powdercoated, still look great now.

Wouldn't bother with painting again unless it was a quick tart up before selling or something.

Mine were £60 a wheel, i got them back and the tyre fitters took all the paint off the back of the wheel when fitting tyres.

Literally like someone has run a large stone around the entire rim edge. They said "must of been a bit of dirt on the tyre fitting machine"

MORONS, they've bought a new machine now.

170 for my set, they removed and refitted rubber.

Another place is 300 for a set, but you can leave your car with them.

Had wheels painted in the past and didn't really last long so went for powder coating on these wheels, wouldn't have wheels painted again i would only go for powder coating now.

I've always had painted wheels and never suffered from any issues with them. I prefer paint over powdercoat as you just seem to get better finishes IMO.

Saying that, if you go to a decent powdercoating place they'll get a pretty bang on finish. Had my brothers ST wheels done at The Wheel Specialist and the job was brilliant.

I think it's just a case of going to a decent place.

I would go with having sprayed wheels as you have a better range of coluors to choose from and you do get a deeper shine if they are done properly. With powdercoating the wheels will need blasting back to bare alloy as the old paint can react when they are dried in the oven.I have had lots of wheels and parts powdercoated and the same colour will come different if thicker or dried at a different temp.

I think people haven't seen a decent powdercoated wheel. Btw taking random parts to be powdercoated is not the same as having a wheel powdercoated at a specialist wheel place.
