If aliens visited, they would of come from at least the next star, which iirc is 26ish light years away (?), so their technology would far far far far far outweigh ours, therefore I believe that they would have the intelligence to figure out who were the best people to abduct.

In relation to visiting another solar system, Mars is like going to see your next door neighbour.
