In fairness, people can join the league whenever and pay whenever, if they don't pay, they don't win anything. Doesn't necessarily need to be before the season starts although would be nice getting it sorted

The problem you have with that is the reason i put in a deadline, you just get people playing along and if they arent winning they will just leave/not pay and the only ones that will pay will be the ones who are winning, so you'll end up with only the top 3/5 paying. You need people to have a reason to stay committed.

Theres no reason you couldnt extend it until the end of August or whatever though, but there has to be a realistic cut off point and one where everyone is still within a shot at winning.

Surely everyone has a way of finding £20?

As jonny said, if people have until after the first match, and they get 0 points, straight away they wont wanna play/pay etc.

Id prefer it to be by Friday tbh. We have had since the end of the last season to think about it really
