Agreed it is a good film, much like The Patriot and We Were Soldiers both with Mel Gibson in. But they have all been Americanised for feel good factor with lies.

Most of Braveheart is complete bull. From what my dad told me having read a "biography" type book on it. Wallace never had a wife, he definitely didnt have it away with that Princess. Of the battles that took place the tactics behind the winning or losing of most of them were nothing like in the film. The Irish had fuck all to do with the war.
And finally the story of Robert the Bruce defecting to the English was crap along with the existence of his father (bloke who had cronic acne)

But I care not for truth I like a good film!!

It was one of the first DVD's I ever bought on Region 1 over a year before it came out over here so that shows how much I like it.
