England who are going backwards or Belgium who have one of the best, on paper, squads in the world atm
[Edited on 06-10-2013 by chrisritch]
They have an amazing array of talent. From the goalkeeper to the young powerhouses up front, they really have it all!
Yes but he has no more or less right to play for Belgium than England, they are both based on technicalities, his place of birth is Kosovo
I wasn't disputing that? I'd rather play for Belgium. They have a greater wealth of talent coming through their ranks.

Would be nice to finally have a white foreigner playing for us rather than the norm of an African.

solid point at WBA, would have taken it beforehand tbh and a useful point IMO. Hawthorns was a nice little ground and super accessible too, not bad pricing at £39
All the 'top' teams have now lost at home (City only away I guess) to unfancied opposition, proving once again that this year will be open once again!

Alright you twats , his parents are kosovan though.
Regards this argument, Jack Wilshere saying that people should be English etc.
Thats fine, but every other country is bending the rules to suit themselves and are more succesful because of it. Large portions of the German team for example were born in Poland.
Why should England be handicapped by their own morals, where everyone else is fine with it and using it to their advantage.

Southgate was calling Berahino English yesterday. When clearly, he isn't!!!
Wilshere apparently says only English people should play for England, but those days are gone. When that United talent has literally 5 or 6 countries to pick from you know it's just a farce.

I personally believe that all members of a national team from players to backroom staff should be from that country. It should be about the best that country has to offer.
I guess if you are born in a England to parents from another country, and have been brought up in England from the day you were born, educated in England etc then its ok.
In the example being branded around at the moment, Januzaj, he should be allowed to play for Belgium.
I dont know how I feel yet about playing for your parents country. Especially if you havent lived in that country.

You can tell its international week the way the media has gone mental over a kid who played 60 minutes of football and is now seemingly being branded as England's only hope for the future, if we can steal him. The whole situation is fucking ridiculous.
Wasn't there some other wonderkid that united had, who scored 2 goals at the start of his career there? Oh yeah, he turned out wank, and was on loan at Doncaster recently.
(Januzaj looked the only decent player against Sunderland at the weekend, so its not a very good comparison to Macheda who always looked shit, I'm sure he will turn out quite good.

Proving once and for all your ability to hear things/read things then pass them off as your own. You'd do well on TalkShite.

So what you're saying is there is 3 and 1 of which is 35. That is large portions? You'd have been better using Scotland as an example.
Also guys like Ozil are born and bred German, what nationality his parents are means nothing. If it did there would be an issue with thousands of international footballers - we live in 2013.
