I save my £50 notes. I decorate 38 rented houses that are owned by an Indian guy and he only operates in reddies it's fantastic.
Usually if I work for other tradesman I get reddies as well.

we have 50,100,200 and 500 notes over here. Don't know why they wont take a 50 note over there. the only one that isn't accepted over here in most places is the 500.

The 500 Euro note is probably the most ridiculous thing ever conceived

A few 500euro notes and that would probably keep Spain trading for another couple of years

This. The gyppo that comes into my work to buy battery's and cats carries only £50's. We have to give him change if we can't haggle him to round it up

Seen plenty of fake notes with a watermark in them...
I always laugh when I see people that don't deal with money hold it
Up to the light like a spastic

Isn't that less to do with the watermark and more to do with the silver strip? I wouldn't say it was being a spastic to take some precautions when accepting notes, even if those methods are somewhat misplaced.

Fake 50's are much more common than 5's. Seen plenty of fakes 20's 10's and 50's. Never a £5.
It's not really worth faking, so most don't bother

Silver strip just gets printed on the paper as a slightly darker line instead, so
Often looks like a line... These old methods have been "fixed" for years by the fraudsters

to most though, if it passes those sorts of tests, you'd normally be fine to pass it down the line to the next person.

I had a fake tenner and it passed the electronic tester machine thing we've got. Accidentally spent it too

There were loads of fake £1 coins going around Birmingham a few years ago when I used to live there. The Queen's head didn't match up with the detail on the other side and they were made from a much softer metal. I spent the one I was holding onto as a souvenir

Are you not a pub owner? You should be rolling in fake notes.

The individual who gave the tip also gave a similar amount to share between the other 5/6 staff who'd looked after him during his stay.

And talking of worrying about fake notes.. I'll never forget being paid £5k in Scottish notes, what a nightmare! almost 3 different versions of each note too.. WTF is up with the Scots?
