After driving a 300bhp RWD car on Sunew tyres every day for 2 years and not being stuck or ending up in a roadside ditch I can confirm 2 things; most people can't drive and the gushing of fake anguish when some snow lands is absolutely ridiculous.

Much the same here, bmw was no bother in the snow with normal road tyres on and the transit gets used every day for work no matter what the weather is like

My worn vredesteins were fine gav. It's all about control and finesse.

Too many times I see people revving the shit out of their motors thinking they're going to POWWWWWEEEEERRRRRRRR away and they end up getting stuck.

In my experience, my Escort, Sierra, Granada and Mercedes have all been better in the snow than any of my FWD cars though.

I don't think i'd even bother trying to drive the RS in the snow. I'm sure it would be as much fun and as effective as drunken, blind-folded ice skating.

Still a very nice car Nic. Especially for a daily driver.

My every day car is presently a 1997 Laguna. Park it anywhere. Don't need to wash it. Zero stress.

Aye I know, I gave it the best of attempts it just wasn't happening as soon as I hit the slope on my road.
I've driven rwd cars in snow before, my first car was rwd, it just wasn't getting anywhere.

If it snows I just leave the car at home. Really not worth fucking around as there is a fair slope to get out of my drive way and you have to time the electric gate perfectly as if you stop on the slope you won't be getting out

My best 2 experiences of driving in snow were winter 2010 in my brother's MR2, got everywhere I wanted it to whilst being fun in places where it was quiet and the other was early this year when I was in my Jeep and purposely hunted out places to try and get stuck but never managed it.

Why would you have issues with them? They're still rubber, just a different compound with funky tread patterns.

Probably didn't work as good in summer, but would've been fine in the rain.
