I don't feel he impacted my life, or the lives of anyone around me, so i'm not altogether cut up about his death, after all, he had damn good innings. But, I will say that he had a positive impact on many lives in a dark era, so for that, I can only respect what I know of him, whatever involvements he had with shady factions, i'm unware of so I cant comment further.

are you talking to me? im well aware of it thanks. i believe you can refer to him as being a freedom fighter, rather than inferring he's a common terrorist as thouhg he's a member of the IRA or Al Qaeda 
As I said, the end justified the means, and they felt they wer eleft with no other alternatives considering countires such as our own hung him and the bla k people of SA up to dry by supporting apertheid, either directly or indirectly (check out the extensive economic sanctions that were applied to SA... oh wait)
he has said himself he regrets his actions but that they had no choice but to become a violent movement to enact a change
