Ok so it needs a fair bit for MOT does anyone know if I cut the two broken springs to a flat edge and heat them up so they sit flatter and spray them black again, will it get through the test? They've only broke like quarter-half a coil off... Cheers

It'll pass for not looking fractured but it must stay in the seat when the car is jacked up. If you've shortened it, it may dislodge which is also a fail.

It may also do it on the road, which is a different story.

Standard springs are not expensive, I personally wouldn't risk it. Probably some people on here will give you some, they're not worth much. You'll spend a few quid in paint anyway, I'd be putting that towards the correct thing in the first place.

Soooo, finally got to do some bits at the car, mostly spraying and fitting new bonnet and bumper and exchanging parts from the donar corsa, heres some pics

Masked front bumper up ready for spraying:

Close up of how shitty grey it was:

Then masked the back up oh and de-badged the rear as some fell off and imo it looks better:

Front bumper painted (except from the scuffs i know i need to get some arden blue and primer)
but i definately think it sharpens it up alot

Back Bumper painted up:

And the arch trims:

DONER CAR IN THE BACKGROUD ON THIS ONE! ^^

Quick before and after picture, only on back end, didnt get front end finished abit of panel beating left to do

what you think?

You don't say... I'm trying to get peoples opinions on the spray job I've done on the bump trims etc that had faded and grey and the crash damage repair
