I've still got about 18 months of saving to do Steve you moron and I could do with something more economical as well as the reason previously stated.

Took the bolt/screw out, really easy to do and was only about 25mm long so definitely won't have done any damage to the rim. It was actually a bolt head that you could also use a screw driver on. Had a large washer on it too. Looked like the kind of thing that would be used for fixing roof cladding down.
