The problem arises where you are against the worlds best teams, and you make one chance all game. You need someone who will tuck that one chance away. He's not that man. Suarez, Lewandowski, Diego Costa (this season at least), Aguero, Messi etc. The best teams win the scrappy games because of the above men.

Massive night tonight. If we play how we can play and have played in the first half of the season we can win this, if we play like we have recently we are totally fucked.

They've got more chance than Arsenal had last night.
Barca aren't on form. At the moment, Messi is throwing up everywhere, they lost at the weekend. Aguero is back, Dimichelis is out.
I dont think they will do it, but hopefully they'll at least give it a go unlike at the Etihad. Pelegrini not being negative on the bench might help too. An early goal could either make it a very good game, or awful as Barca keep the ball in the middle and dive every time someone gets near them

City have been getting down the wings and playing some decent balls in... Which would've been great in the first leg with Negredo up top

Is there a better CB in world football than Kompany? Thiago Silva, maybe. But both are head and shoulders above any other I can think of.

No, there is not, Football Manager predicted this YEARS ago. City need to go after Hummels or similar in the summer. Kompany deserves it.

FM(CM at the time) 01/02? That would be the best cb partnership in the world.
Wonderful dink from Messi there. Kind of proves the point of their CB woes
City have squandered a couple of amazing chances too!

What a fucking woeful referee he has been. He's made horrible decisions all game and now he's sent off Zabaleta instead of giving a stonewall penalty Couldn't have been more wrong.

It's the rules against Barca. English teams must be reduced to 10 men.

They must not get stone wall penalties either. No matter how horrendously obvious.

If barca had got their penalty first it would have been game over even earlier
Zabaleta can't have any complaints. He went off on one in the face of the ref which is a yellow card. The fact its his second is tough luck, maybe he should have thought about that first.

In other news, Arseblog pondered a late Kallstrom winner at the weekend...:
"We may have Kim Kallstrom available. What a story it would be for him to score the winner at White Hart Lane with a free kick late in the game which causes Tim Sherwood to run onto the pitch and start beating Emmanuel Adebayor about the head with the leg of Steffan Freund before a distraught Daniel Levy runs onto the pitch and puts the part-time manager out of his misery with a single shot from a cattle gun.
“It’s for the best,” he cries on the pitch as Geoff Shreeves seeks to exploit his heartbreak in front of the live TV audience by also revealing, with his trademark sensitivity, that his children have been eaten by a bear.
“How do you feel about the fact your kids have been devoured?”, asks the Shreeves, before showing him video footage of the incident in which the crunching of bone and terrified screams create a soundtrack that nobody will ever forget.
“Back to you in the studio,” he LOLs as Levy weeps and Jamie Redknapp criticises the children for the way they were eaten.
“You wanna see kids get eaten more betterer than that,” he says. “I was literally consumed by an ogre when I was a youth team player at Liverpool,” expect he pronounces ogre as ‘Oggar’ and loads of people on Twitter laugh at him for his poor English."

oRbbo, there are many, many things I'd rather do than read that again. Included, but not limited to:
Sharing a bath with my mum
Reading the phone book in the pissing rain
Being fisted by my dad
Drinking a cup of warm dog slavers
Spell checking your work
Joining Steve for a pint
