A few weeks before all this properly kicked off was a damning report into concentration camps in North Korea, nobody gave 2 hoots. Russia annexes a piece of land that wants to be annexed and the world goes fucking nuts. Discuss at length.

The campaign has similarities to the invasion of Poland by Germany that began WW2.

There will be no military action and rightly so. They'll continue introducing sanctions until it all blows over.

Russia have made every other 'superpower' look like absolute mugs.
Silly threats with no substance to back them up.

'Substance' being what exactly?
You'd have to be pretty special and borderline suicidal to go aggravating Russia with war and P's solution would have had little affect on stopping Russia taking control of Crimea.
Tbf, there wasn't anything that could have been done. All nation's can do now is create repercussions and even then Europe's got to tread lightly as we're dependant on oil/gas exports.

Agreed, but don't start talking the talk, theres just no need.
I've seen the words ''serious consqeuences'' being thrown around. Are we ever going to see them? Or is it just mind games?

Personally I do not believe that the UK should be giving (money) aid to the Ukraine.

Well something has to be done? Attack the rouble, attack their currency. Don't think the Russian economy is that great as it is. I mean things are really sketchy at the moment and the situation is changing all the time. If some of the big boys start losing serious money over this they'll put pressure on Putin.

Looks like Russia could be planning an invasion of Ukraine, troops massing at the border. At least according to Head of NATO security.

RAF fighter jets scrambled to investigate Russian planes tonight, apparently approaching north coast of Scotland.

Russia do this at least a few times a year, usually to test response times and attempt to rile the government - certainly nothing to worry about

Yeah, apparently around 8 times a year by air, and also by sea occasionally too, apparently one incident this year involving a russian destroyer too.

Wonder if its worth it to russia, to send 2 big bombers and a destroyer just to probe what our response times are by air and sea? must cost a fair bit? them TU-95's are pretty big aftall, wonder if they do it to a few other countries too?
Must be a good job, being in the RAF or whatever when stuff like this happens
