I pay more for a certain place near me.

Much cleaner environment, doesn't have cars all crammed in and I'm not worried abor scratches etc. They deal more around modified cars, and treat them how they deserve to be. People there seen to have much higher interest in cars, and have a lovely waiting area with a cafe and TV's

This is pretty much the main advantage of not going to a 'shed', guy i used to take the car too was a complete pig.. car came back with grease all over the seats, shit on the floor and scratches on the door sometimes.. new place put covers over interior if they are going to be in there and car returns in the same condition

Also I like to go
To Places that don't make you feel awkward asking for a receipt. In all for cash in hand odd jobs, but for example if I went to a garage to have ball joints done, and when I collected they made me feel like I shouldn't have asked for a receipt, I won't go again. Not due to tax, due to then avoiding any comeback if done wrong

It's the Facebook mechanics that do my head in.

A mate of mine bought a corsa and was askin what to do with it. One of his mates suggested raising it to make it handle better......
Same guy also told him the reason his car struggles to start when it's warm is because the starter motor is weak because "when an engine heats up it gets tighter, so the starter motor struggles to turn it over".....
