Just because you had it done to does not make it perfectly fine.

I drove to Scotland and back with no rubber left in my front lower arm bush on my fabia vrs with constant metal against metal clonking, is that perfectly fine too because I managed that journey?

Similarly I drove from Birmingham to Worcester one day with no brake pad material on my brakes in my 106 gti, with metal on metal grating all the way, using the handbrake where I could. Is that fine too?

The tyre is clearly too small for the wheel width

You live with your parents. Your argument is invalid.

basically it's old people failing to adapt to the current generation of modifications. Still stuck in the era of bodykits, flip paint and large chrome wheels

Someone on edition fought this last year and won. He contacted the the tyre brand and asked for a spec sheet of what rim width range his tyre covered. He was well within the specified limits even with stretch. Since when were coppers also trained engineers, mechanics etc?

If the rim sticks out further than the arch trim then it's illegal. I think it looks shit when the rear wheels have camber like that tho

Tyre tread must not extent past the arches. That's the only law.

If that's the case, the punishment is harsh.

Says the mong who drives in his street at 4k rpm in 1st or eats 12 bags of crisps for his lunch even whilst ill with stomach pains and sickness

From what I can gather the tread needs to be within the arch and the wheel itself must no protrude more than 30mm

is there any travel on the suspension? Surely the rim would hit the arch. Should buy wheels that are the correct offset

Weren't you involved in giving Johnny loads when he crashed his m5 and towed a corsa down the motorway?

*Cough* hypocrite

If I'm wrong apologies in advance.

Meh people like different things, let them get on with it. Find it hard to side with police over car enthusiasts. I'm sure most of us here have grown out of 'silly' mods like that but I'm happy for the newer generation to come up with whatever crazy things they want
