I would prefer to have one like is advertised on the web site as they are pretty cool looking.

The Citroën van thing last week made me laugh. One minute it's a shed, next it's got a fresh paintjob and all sorts.

Probably had the car for a good few weeks, to try and condense, all the work and buying and selling it, along with a bit of a feature about the cars history, pretty hard to condense that into a 1hr show, plus its has adverts.
Bet it was rusting in places(hard to find as the underseal is so thick and rubbery, just rusts underneath it) and the engine hadn't had clutch or chains done, i think £5k was quite a lot of money for the car really, considering the others you could of had for that money.

i do wonder how in depth the rebuilds are. They should do a where are they know programme, if they don't already. See how many are still alive.

There's some places online where you can read about the past cars.
Production crew pretending to be the buyer and after the show some cars stripped for parts and sold that way.
Quite a lot of it is faked

If it wasn't for the Discovery channel, the adverts etc it wouldn't be a sustainable prospect would it! Never take in to account labour costs.

You could see dodgy paint on the front wing and on the rear arch iirc where it had been scraped and badly repaired.
The guy definitely had his pants pulled down buying it for that price.

I ripped out the entire ABS system and replaced with a more modern serviceable system (and it works with vagcom)
Him saying corrado was predating the diagnostic equipment wasn't quite true, you can hook up to it and read fault codes etc.

Mike Brewer: between filiming each series Mike can be found sitting a layby somewhere in the country eating from burger vans and asking anyone who pulls in "ere mate got a quid spare, the old girl needs a drink" as he pats his Toyota avenis on the roof.
