don' go for a vert;

- the roofs leak
- take up huge boot space
- weigh more than the moon
- affect driving dynamics

You'll have to put a 1 on the front of the mileage if you want an M3 for £8k.

I paid £7k for a 40k mile face-lift E46 M3 with FSH ..

A dealer bought it from me for £9250 and sold it on his forecourt for nearly £13k... Prices keep going up for decent examples.

It doesn't, not a big fan of any 3 series trim. 5 series is a big step up in quality.

One of my favourite shapes of bnw.

Do you always need to consult with corsasport before buying new cars?

My next door neigh our has a convertible 3 series in that shape. He showed me how much boot space there was with the roof down. Answer = zero. Not great if you want to go out as a family.

Nice car, but he's had loads of problems with the electrics.

Would you ever have the roof down when you have a car full though? Take it the boot will be big once up or does it not work like that ha?

I've been seriously looking at these as well. Similar requirements and got around £10k to spend. Was looking at alpina D3s as well as they stand out a bit more.

Always gone for a coupe in the past but the saloons and tourers look fantastic on the E9*'s.

Why would you not? If he was going to the beach for a day out, that doesn't mean you have to have the roof up..

I've had the roof down with a boot full of shopping before. You shouldn't let circumstances dictate your life.

Always thought it looked s bit gay with rear passengers with the roof down but suppose if they're your kids and a sunny day out then that's fair enough.

I agree with you that if you want a convertible then get it and don't use a silly excuse as no room for shopping. Saying that though I don't know when the last time I used my boot was so I would never not buy a car because of lack of space.

I doubt id have the roof down with the littleun in.... Hes only 7 months so wouldnt want the wind noise or cold to affect him... When hes a bit older maybe...

As a rule of thumb though, if the push chair fits in, it will be fine
