It appears height is no longer an issue at alton towers http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/news/woodie.htm A 200ft wooden coaster if they get planning permission and i doubt they'd submit these plans if they knew it'd be rejected coz of height
Agreed though thunder looper was ace. Bit old and unsafe though.
