Got the Escort up to max, about 140 on the clocks when standard, never tried when modded.
Never bothered in the BMW, went to 140 left it at that.
The MR2 just keeps going, had 145 before I thought better of it but it wasn't slowing down. I reckon it would have got past 170 on the clocks. The rated top end is 162 and oit would have got there no probs.

Went out in my old mans new toy on Saturday, 225bhp audi TT, 120mph feels like your just cruizing at 80-90

The thing is a speeding ticket waiting to happen!!

Topped out at 145 on the flat

finnally someone that understands y i got rid of audi.

good for a 1.8 tho init

Which model did you have?

Lovely cars and built to be happy at high speed, kinda takes the fun out of it if you cant feel the speed tho dont it!!!

My dads TT still pulls like a biatch thru the gears tho, even in 4th it will accelerate pretty well!

Im suprised on how many people have hit the limiter in 5th/6th gear in their cars to achieve the maximum cars speed!!

This poll was done on MIG, and the results were fairly even.

It was really easy to hit the limiter at 120 @ 7200rpm in my old s1 rallye. The vectra ran out of power before it gets anywhere near. Similarily my s2 rallye runs out of puff at 120
