Why have you been drinking protein shakes?
i've tasted them, and that slimfast stuff. that just makes you heave once you've drunk it so you empty the contents of your stomach and therefore become slimmer.

I know this probably sounds thick to you, but why would you need protein shakes?

aparently if you drink pints and pints of water you wash all the vital stuff from your system and you can end up either seriously ill in a coma or even worse...
The average person should consume 8 pints a day.

For muscles to grow they need protein, how much protein depends on the persons weight etc.

Protein shakes aren't designed to make you slimmer. Never tried slimfast, but yeah you're probably right about those

Pints i believe, which is easily consumed as alot of things contain water like tea/orange juice etc etc.

Because i train intense i need to keep hydrated, i suppose i have around 12+ pints a day.
For every one litre of sweat that evaporates, around 600 kcal of heat energy may be released, and during prolonged exercise the body is possible to lose as much as 2 litres of sweat per hour.
The average joe public doesn't drink enough, if you start to feel thirsty you're already experiencing the effects of de-hydration.

If you're taking 3 a day the most important time to take them is as soon as you wake up, straight after training and before bed.
Don't you train chest or back mate?
