fsilin that u can get an working engine from scrappyfor bout 150 an fit it ureself

I would have thought you could pick up a replacement 1.2 8v engine for about £100? Or Tim's old one as I said, and have an extra 20bhp?

I would have bought it off him if he still had it, stripped it out, bung in a 2.0, and respray it something other that red!

I was gonna do that kinda stuff with my Astra, but I decided to put it back to standard and sell it, gonna get a V6 Vectra, something with a decent engine and comfortable on those long motorway journeys!

I was there and the head was fucked aswell and the water pump, they said after quoting for the headgasket it would be about another 110 quid ontop of the original quote for a l reg corsa 1.2 8v that had done 114k not worth it so scraping it and he is getting a new car! for a car thats worth about 800 quid why spend 650 on fixing it? also car was a nice one even with the fade went well it just gave up
