r5 gtt is very fast car 0-60 and 0-100 etc but it hasnt got much top end which is where t would get raped by a CTR

i raced 2 R5 GTT's on mway and i passed them quite convincingly, both had zorst, de-cat, system etc

if i was gonna get one i wouldnt know whether to keep the bodywork almost standard as i like the look of them anyway, or to go for some mad bodykit. if i went the bodykit way itd have to be carismas first kit!

yeh mate fair play it'll take a gti to 60 as std but will need a few mods to take CTR

once the gti and CTR get into 3rd gear then you'll have problems as the GTT doesnt go too well top end without substantial mods!! i know a fella that just bought a std one and he cant get it to go over 120mph on the clock

furry muff but i really dont care about top speed, imo thats not what racings about, its quickest off the mark. plus speeding is just plain stoopid and another thing about insurance... im paying £1,200 as it is on a 1.0 12v corsa, so for an extra 400cc and a turbo, £700 doesnt seem too bad!

well the point is that very few races end at 60mph, when those cars hit 3rd @ roughly 70mph the they'll start to leave you

I agree with chris, like a CTR raced me today... realised he would not pass me unless was traveling over 130mph, sp pulled in behind me

My mate Dean has 1.
Its white and is fast as fcuk.
Kept all the body work almost standard and lowered it big time.
Nice bottle of NOS sitting behind the seat along with 4 15inch subs.

Tuned to the max.

my mate has a clio 16v with a 5gtt engine in it - bye bye 172's lol - he is running like 20psi and stuff - looks awesome - dont think it will be as fast when he gets his 18" chromes on tho.

my mate had a haggard 5gtt that he got for 500quid - it had the boost wound up and did blow up after 6 months - but even then he sold it for 250quid and had 6 months of quality fun - we blew away a integra type r which was funny - it would go up to about 130mph but to be honest i shat myself after about 60 anyway - its was so haggard - the tourque was scary - he'd just pull out and boom we'd be past whatever we were overtaking - best 250quid he ever spent

now he has a 350bhp sierra cozzie - dosnt feel as fast but is

CTR is easily quicker than a 106 mate. Upto 60 or so there isn't too much in it, start going over that then it's bye bye gti I'm afraid!
