yes you must report it if you hit livestock, horses or dogs, or any rare species. dogs can be scanned so that the owners can be notified. Enough of the dog, comfort your girlfriend, im sure you are, and make sure she doesnt get put off driving, just like falling off a horse, pick up courage and jump straight back on!

Very true mate, after i had moved the car from facing the wrong way and moved it over to the centre of the road and into the layby and said thanks to a guy who stopped in a saxo she drove all the way home (very brave) shaking like a good one !

Suprised we made it home cos it was until then i noticed the axel was sooooo bent !

yes well done to her for managing to drive back. after my crash over a year ago, i was shacken up and couldnt concentrate properly when driving back to where we were staying.

i feel very sorry for her as its not a nice thing to happen when you've just started driving, it'd put me off for life.
