i had a similar thing happen a mile from my house, full lock and it snapped off

i had the brilliant idea of wrapping wire round the track rod and driving it home at 5mph as the RAC wouldnt/couldnt do anything and i wasnt leaving it there

Well we've had our moneys worth from the AA, it took 6 different recovery vehicles last nite ideally we needed a mini ratchet strap or something. They suggested we tried to move it to the side and leave it outside the BP. Tim said fook dat


Tim is gutted. He came home with me in the van last nite and didnt say a word.

happened to me a few months back was driving along and hit a pot hole only for the wheel to be facing 90o where it should be lucky managed to get the car up on the recovery truck and get towed to the nearest garage lucky they could fix with out any problems and it only cost me a few quid for a new ball joint
