I'd rather play Sturridge on a wing than Rooney tbh. Either that or don't play Rooney at all, unless its a number 10 role. The Uruguay back line has Godin, but Cacares is a natural CB, then RB, then LB And Lugano couldn't get a game for WBA. They are there for the taking if England attack. One thing I would say of last night though, is England were sometimes a bit too ambitious. They needed to take a step back, slow down and think. Italy did it time and again, by feeding it to Pirlo. Gerrard wasn't involved in that respect.
