I had to pit a lot for damage.... most of it my own doing for clipping a barrier but the start was a shambles.
I hung back again and started passing cars up the hill, then under braking folk just hit the back of you 
Yes - i occiasionally tap folk if we are side by side on corner exit and its quite unsighted but its generally easy to give space.
As in real life there are places to pass, and places where there just isnt room 
If you are faster you WILL get past sooner rather than later, dont just force it!

out of interest.... what were folk best lap times.
From mem it was 1:51 for me, low 1:52 in qual. I really think I'm better than I end up finishing
or I hope i am

My qually time was a 1:50:4 I think, If I had've had more than 196 I reckon I could've got into low 49s

How come i only got 200cr and 300xp for finishing first?
Chris did you get something like 14,000?

yes mate, i got 18,000 exp and about 47,000Cr
no idea why you only got so little, it might have something to do with setting the fastest laptime in the race.

my qualifying lap was 1'48.6 i think and my fastest race lap was 1'48.2

To be honest, that was a pretty dumb move of me on lap 22  ... I was over a minute ahead, was getting bored, tried to take the chicane flat out and smashed the car up.
Then got it repaired, lap 23 ... 35 secs ahead and decided I wanted to try drifting every corner on my fresh tyres... SMASHED IT UP.
Then exited the pits AGAIN 2 secs after ryan ... started catching him and made a valid mistake = puncture
I should've just limped it round from lap 22... I could've gone 10 secs a lap slower and still won by that point, but oh well - Ryan deserves a win anyway

Ok so Chris says its my turn to pick the track.
I was thinking Grand Valley East/Reverse.
Its not a massive track but should give everybody somewhere to pass, and a wide straight so you can get out of the way if your being lapped.
It should make for some close racing and less damage aswell.
Any objections?

AK the qualify wasnt a bug, when i changed the damage from light to heavy it reset the times from qualifying, so it just put us all in a random order.
i had no dea this happened, so i appologise.
